The Great Thames Bridges Walk

On a beautiful Spring morning, Sat. Apr 12th  2025 , an intrepid bunch of walkers, representing 13 nationalities and ranging in age from 10 months to over 70, set off from Putney Bridge to walk 5km, 10km or 25km to raise funds for the Beatrice Project.

The walk was initiated by Cathryn Cooper, a friend from Cornerstone Church, Kingston, who did a magnificent job, not only of organizing the event, but of encouraging around 70 people to take part. Between them they brought in 165 donations from family, friends, supporters and well-wishers who were moved by the aims of the Beatrice Project and the difference it is making in the lives of schoolgirls in under privileged rural communities in Zimbabwe.

An astonishing £8,482.35 was raised!

A massive thank you to Cornerstone Church and to everyone who walked or donated – we are hugely grateful to every one of you, for enabling the work of the project to continue to even greater effect throughout 2025.
